Erin FitzGerald writes midlife romantic suspense for readers who know life doesn't hand out easy happily-ever-afters. Her characters have seen some things and have to overcome heartbreak and trauma through choice.
After a detour through journalism school and years in finance, a “positive midlife crisis” pulled her back to the stories she'd been scribbling since she was ten. Now an independent author of more than two dozen novels, she specializes in strong, snarky heroines, protective (and occasionally grumpy) heroes, found family, second chances, and the kind of emotional wreckage that makes the eventual HEA feel earned.
Her characters carry the baggage of grief, addiction, old scars, and complicated histories, and still fight their way toward hope. Because, as Erin puts it, she's in the business of hope.
She lives in the Metro D.C. area with her husband, two children, and a house full of pets and plants. When she's not writing small-town secrets and slow-burn tension (Colson Creek, Wolf Mountain Ranchers, and more), she's probably avoiding housework or plotting the next redemption arc.
